In vitro study | Diphenylterazine elicits minimal cell toxicity at millimolar concentrations. Notes : To make a stock solution for DTZ (Diphenylterazine), first, a premixture is prepared by dissolving 17.6 mg of L-ascorbic acid (HY-B0166) in 10 mL ethanol and 10 mL 1,2-propanediol; next, 1 mg of DTZ is dissolved in 88 µL of the premix, resulting in a 30 mM DTZ stock solution containing 5 mM L-ascorbic acid. |
In vivo study | Diphenylterazine injections into untransfected BALB/c mice do not yield any background emission. The bioluminescence resulting from intraperitoneally injected Diphenylterazine displays extended kinetics. DTZ (0.3 μmol/mouse; i.v.) treatment can track tumor growth in a xenograft NU/J mouse model. |

Diphenylterazine (DTZ) - Introduction
Diphenylterazine is an organic compound with the chemical formula C18H12N2, which has the structure of one benzene ring and one benzothiophene ring.
Diphenylterazine is a yellow crystal with good solubility and stability. It has high solubility in organic solvents and can be dissolved in Alcohols, Ketones and aromatic hydrocarbons. Its melting point is about 171-175 degrees Celsius.
Diphenylterazine has a variety of uses in the field of chemical research. It can be used as an organic semiconductor material for the preparation of organic light emitting diodes (OLED) and organic thin film transistors (OTFT). It can also be used as a luminescent material for the preparation of organic photovoltaic cells. In addition, Diphenylterazine can also be used to synthesize other organic compounds, for example as a catalyst in organic synthesis reactions.
The preparation method of Diphenylterazine can be carried out by chemical synthesis. A common method of preparation is by condensation of benzothiophene and 1,2-dibromo-2,2-diphenylacetonitril to give Diphenylterazine. During the preparation process, care should be taken to avoid contact with skin and eyes, and to prevent inhalation of dust or gas.
In General, Diphenylterazine is an organic compound with good solubility and stability. It has a wide range of applications in chemical research, organic semiconductor materials and organic photovoltaic cells. During use and preparation, attention should be paid to safe operation and direct contact and inhalation of dust or gas should be avoided.
